Background

Siembra opened in December 2019, 4 months before the covid-19 pandemic really took hold of Colombia and the country in March 2020 entered a 6 months complete quarantine. As the name suggests we set ourselves up as a boutique hostel. The idea being that we would be a hostel with all the social elements and activities of a hostel but the quality of rooms and food of a boutique hostel / restaurant. 

Use Case

Through deploying PouchVENUE Cashless Solutions at the Siembra Boutique Hostel, PouchNATION helps to ease the F&B ordering process, without needing to ask for room number, name or manually write down orders on paper for the kitchen/bar and store the paper copy for accounting and customer’s final bill. This process minimizes errors due to manual handwriting or staff forgetting people’s orders. The management of Siembra Hostel recognized that using a cashless payment solution can increase customer’s average spend by around 20%, this led them to approach PouchNATION for our cashless solution. 

One key important component for Siembra is the time and money they have saved by moving from a a paper system to a digital system, both in terms of quick and easy checkout, being able to show a client their bill immediately without needing to get hold of each order slip, and also it saves them 64 hours a month accountancy department as they are instantly able to export all sales and view all statistics with a click of a button–a much efficient way than having to manually count thousands of sales receipts/order slips every week.

Do I buy the NFC devices or are they included in the subscription?

No, the devices are not included in the subscription but your staff only requires any Android device with NFC capabilities.

Do I buy the NFC tags or are they included in the subscription?

You can buy the NFC tags along with your subscription plan as an add-on. If you decide to buy them at a later date, you can also do so. There’s an included starter kit* (includes 50 non-branded NFC cards) for all plans for a limited time only!

*Only available for clients in The Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

How long will it take for the NFC Tags to be delivered?

The delivery process for unbranded NFC tags will be delivered within 3-5 business days* after your order is placed while custom branded NFC tags will take between 3-5 weeks after your order has been placed and your design confirmed.

Please note that delivery times may vary according to local postal services. You will receive a notification email with tracking information once your order has been shipped.

*Delivery times refers to clients in The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Can we order custom NFC Tags (silicone wristbands, cards, elastic bands)?

Yes, only for Plus or Enterprise packages. Production time is 3-5 weeks after we receive the design on the Custom Wristbands Form.

Is the demo in-person or online?

The Demo session will be a 30-min online call with our Venue Experts where they will go through PouchVENUE dashboard and mobile app.

Do guests need to “load” their wristbands/cards upon entry/check-in or do they get billed at the end?

Our system can do both prepaid and postpaid with free credits and credit limits.

With prepaid, guests load their NFC tags at the top-up station and enjoy fast and hassle-free purchases.

With postpaid, guests would receive a preloaded card with a certain amount of balance. Once guests consume all the balance, they would pay the previous balance and receive more credits.
