PouchNation, a Singapore-based event management company, announced that it has secured an undisclosed amount of funding in an extended series B round from Indonesian online ticketing platform Tix ID.
With the new partnership, Tix ID’s users will have access to not only movie tickets but also event tickets from March 2020. Event promoters may also distribute their tickets on Tix ID and then work with PouchNation’s on-ground team for their events.
Tix ID has more than 10 million registered users and 5 million monthly active users, covering over 80% of cinemas in Indonesia, according to a statement.
“Our company’s vision is to build the largest tech-enabled live experiences ecosystem in Southeast Asia,” said Ilya Kravtsov, CEO at PouchNation.
According to a recent report, the event management software market is expected to grow from US$5.7 billion in 2019 to US$11.4 billion by 2024 at a compound annual growth rate of 15%. There’s also a growing demand for automation for event planning, management, marketing, and other related processes.
Founded in 2012, PouchNation provides an offline-to-online solution for events and recreational venues in Asia. It focuses on the use of near field communication technology to digitize event management, including guest registration, cashless payments, access control, activity tracking, social engagement, and detailed analytics reporting.
The company has offices in Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
The latest round follows its series B raise from Indonesian unicorn Traveloka and SPH Ventures last year. The deal was significant to Traveloka’s expansion into travel experiences as it works toward becoming a super app.
